Responsive is a creative that can be used in different desktop and mobile sizes. It takes one set of assets and automatically creates multiple ads in different desktop and mobile sizes.
The responsive type is also useful in these situations:
You need one creative to work in both mobile and desktop placements:
You want to spruce up your usual desktop leaderboard or tower placement:
We have optimized responsive creatives for most-used placement sizes:
300x250
336x280
970x250
300x600
320x480
The creative also works with sizes between the above options, but always test beforehand in your selected DSP platform. You will see previews of all the creatives and can make any needed changes before exporting.
How to make Responsive ads:
1. Prepare assets
See specifications for designers:
You should have at least:
4 cube sides, 3 carousel cards, 1 panorama image, 1 video
one size fits all background
logo and/or CTA image (optional)
Using different and specially designed backgrounds will result in the best outcome, but you can also use a "one-size-fits-all" background assets.
Note: you can use video assets on both the Responsive 3D cube and Responsive carousel layouts. We recommend a maximum of 1 video per creative, for optimal file size and performance.
2. Make a new creative in Nexd Campaign Manager:
1. Go to or create a new campaign where you want to make a new creative.
2. Click on the little downward arrow on the Type to reveal a drop-down menu and scroll down to choose "Responsive".
3. Choose the layout you wish to use: you can choose between a responsive 3D cube, a carousel, a panorama or a responsive video. We will add more layouts as we see rising interest in this new category.
3. Drag & drop your prepared assets in the Asset Library (or Team Library if the assets will be used by other team members as well), or click on "Choose files" to select the assets via browser file manager. From there, upload your files to the correct asset slots and the first view of the creative is made. For custom designing each placement size: read more here
4. Give the creative a meaningful name. By default, it is named "New creative".
5. When needed, select a platform to enable different publishers' and DSPs' click macros.
When you are happy with the result, move to the next step.
3. Export creative
This is according to the usual workflow: select the creative(s), click "Export", then "Export tags". For more information, read our detailed exporting guide.
