Overlays and hotspots are essential tools for creating engaging and interactive experiences. Previously, they could only be added globally, meaning their positions remained fixed regardless of creative rotations—such as in a 3D Cube layout.
With our new asset-based overlays and hotspots feature, you can now assign specific overlays or hotspots to individual assets. This ensures that when an asset changes, the associated overlay or hotspot transitions accordingly—disappearing with the old asset and revealing new elements tied to the next one.
NB! This feature is not available for the following layouts:
Blinds
Blinds swipe
Unblur on touch
Unblur with scroll
Roller Horizontal
Roller Vertical
Splitscreen

For all other layouts, asset-based overlays and hotspots can be used.

Example Use Case
Imagine a 3D Cube layout where each side showcases different products. Instead of global overlays, individual "Buy Now" hotspots are placed on each product's side. The first side of the cube can also display business details or special sales information.
