Setting Up Signup Domains for Your Organization

If someone with your organization email domain signs up, a request to accept is sent to the admin

Updated over a month ago

By default, adding new users to your organization should be managed by an Admin in the platform — read the article for instructions.

The self-signup flow described below is intended as a backup—not the recommended default—and is only meant for cases where a team member creates their account via the web. Otherwise, their account will exist separately from your organization’s main account, and neither of you will have access to each other’s resources (they won’t see the rest of your organization’s assets, and you won’t see theirs).

If your company’s email domain is used globally by multiple teams or by individuals not associated with your specific Nexd account, please do not proceed with the domain setup instructions below. Doing so will prevent those other teams from registering new users under their correct accounts.

Feature Overview

This feature allows Group Admins to designate specific domains from which signups and invitations are permitted. By setting a domain, you ensure that only users with email addresses from that domain can request access to your group.

Admin Flow: Configuring and Managing Signup Domains

  • Access Organization Details:
Log in and navigate to the Organization Details section in your account settings. Choose 'Set up domain' to get started.

  • Set Allowed Domain:
Enter the domain you want to permit for signups (e.g., “@nexd.com”).

  • Verify Domain Ownership:
For security purposes, the new domain must be verified by sending a confirmation email to an address on that domain.

  • Manage Signup Requests:

    • Notification:
Once the domain is set, any new signup using an email from that domain will send an email notification to the admin.

    • Approval/Denial:
You can review these requests in Organization Details under "Domain set up" or via the notification email. Approve or deny each request as needed.

    • Resulting Behavior:
When a new user from the allowed domain signs up, they are placed in a pending state until approved. Once approved, they gain access to the group.

User Flow: Signing Up from an Allowed Domain

  1. Signup Process:
A user visits the signup page and enters their work email address (e.g., [email protected]).

  2. Pending Approval:
If the domain is registered, after submitting the signup form, the system recognizes the email domain and forwards the request for approval to the Group Admin.

  3. Verifying and Waiting:
After verifying their email, the user will see a popup in Campaign Manager indicating that their access request has been sent for review. The admin will then review the request.

  4. Approval or Denial:

    • If Approved: The user is notified that they now have access to the group.

    • If Denied: The user will not get access to the Campaign Manager.

By setting up signup domains, you maintain control over who joins your group while ensuring a secure and streamlined onboarding process for your organization. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact our support team.
